Cumhurbaşkanı Tatar, Bahar Okları Özel Okçuluk Yarışması Ödül Töreni’ne katıldı
Cumhurbaşkanı Ersin Tatar, KKTC Okçuluk Federasyonu ve Okçuluk Vakfı tarafından düzenlenen Bahar Okları Özel Okçuluk Yarışması Ödül Töreni’ne katılarak yaptığı konuşmada, 13 farklı kulübün katılımıyla gerçekleşen etkinlikte dayanışma içeren güzel bir faaliyete imza atıldığını belirtti ve etkinliği düzenleyenlere teşekkür etti.
Gençlerin farklı spor alanlarında yeteneklerini sergilemelerinin önemine değinen Cumhurbaşkanı Tatar, Kıbrıs Türk gençlerine uygulanan spor ambargolarının devam etmesine rağmen bu engellemelere takılmadan sonuna kadar hakkımızı arayarak uluslararası etkinliklerde gençlerimizi diğer gençlerle buluşturma çabalarının süreceğini belirtti. 33 federasyonuyla ülkemizin spor faaliyetlerini sürdürdüğünü kaydeden Cumhurbaşkanı Tatar, tüm spor federasyonlarını çalışmaları dolayısıyla kutladı.
Anavatan Türkiye’nin desteğiyle Türk Devletler Teşkilatı’na gözlemci üye statüsüne gelen KKTC’nin uluslararası etkinliklerle kapılarının okçuluk alanında da gençlerimize Türk Devletleri çatısı altında diğer kardeş ülkelerle iş birliği içerisinde açılacağı değerlendirmesinde bulundu.
Cumhurbaşkanı Tatar, yarışmada başarı elde edenlere ödüllerini vererek başarılarının devamını diledi.
The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar, recently attended the Bahar Okları Özel Okçuluk Yarışması (Spring Arrows Special Archery Competition) award ceremony. The event was held on June 5th in the capital city, Nicosia.
The archery competition was organized by the Cyprus Turkish Archery Association and brought together dozens of amateur and professional archers from across the country. The competition consisted of two rounds, with participants using traditional Turkish and compound bows to hit targets placed at various distances.
President Tatar, who is an avid supporter of sports and physical activity, was present at the award ceremony to congratulate the winners and encourage the participants. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of sports in promoting physical and mental well-being, as well as fostering a sense of community and healthy competition.
He also expressed his admiration for the skill and dedication demonstrated by the archers, who had spent months preparing for the competition and honing their techniques. The President highlighted the significance of traditional archery in Turkish Cypriot culture, which has a rich history of hunting, warfare, and leisure activities involving bows and arrows.
During the ceremony, President Tatar personally presented the awards to the winners, including trophies and medals for the top performers in different categories. He also took the opportunity to chat with the competitors and take selfies with them, showing his down-to-earth personality and love for engaging with the public.
The Bahar Okları Özel Okçuluk Yarışması was a resounding success, attracting a large crowd of spectators and encouraging more people to take up archery as a recreational or competitive sport. By attending the event and supporting the archers, President Tatar has demonstrated his commitment to promoting sports and physical activity in the country, as well as highlighting the unique cultural traditions of Turkish Cypriots.
