Emil Zhamgyrchiev, Kendi Tanıdığı ile Serbest Bırakıldı
Parlamento deputy of Kyrgyzstan, Emil Zhamgyrchiev, has been released on bail. This decision was made by the Pervomaisky District Court, following a request from the Main Investigative Department of the State Committee for National Security to change the preventive measure. The court approved the request and changed the detention to a written promise not to leave the city.
Earlier, the Central Election Commission prematurely terminated Zhamgyrchiev’s powers as a deputy of Parliament based on his own application. He was placed in pre-trial detention until February 26, but was later released after giving an undertaking to appear before the investigative authorities.
The Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev, stated that he does not intend to imprison Zhamgyrchiev, despite allegations that he attempted to leave Kyrgyzstan. The decision to release him on his own recognizance comes after the deputy gave his undertaking to appear before the investigative authorities.
It is worth mentioning that the deputy’s powers were terminated prematurely following an application from him. The previously applied preventive measure in the form of detention has now been changed to a written undertaking not to leave the city.
