Pedro Almodovar’ın kısa Western filmi “Strange Way of Life”ın ilk fragmanı yayınlandı. Başrollerini Ethan Hawke ve Pedro Pascal’ın üstlendiği film dünya prömiyerini Cannes Film Festivali’nde yapacak.
Almodovar’ın ikinci İngilizce filmi olan “Strange Way of Life” konusu ve türü açısından şimdiden Ang Lee’nin çok ses getiren “Brokeback Mountain” filmi ile kıyaslanıyor.
Film, 25 yıl önce birlikte çalışan Silva ve Jake’in yıllar sonra bir araya gelişlerini konu ediyor. Hikeye, Silva’nın (Pedro Pascal), yıllar önce birlikte kiralık katil olarak çalıştığı Şerif Jake’i (Ethan Hawke) ziyaret etmesiyle başlıyor.
Silva, gençlik arkadaşıyla yeniden bir araya gelme bahanesiyle onu ziyaret ettiğini söyler ve ikili yeniden bir araya gelişlerini kutlar, ancak ertesi sabah Şerif Jake ona, gezisinin nedeninin eski dostluklarını anımsamak olmadığını söyler…
