Antik Roma’daki siyasi çekişmelerden esinlenen ve bunları New York’a taşıyarak modernleştiren “Megalopolis” yıkıcı bir felaketin ardından New York şehrini bir ütopya olarak yeniden inşa etmek isteyen bir mimarın ve çatışmaya girdiği yozlaşmış bir belediye başkanının hikayesini anlatacak.
Adam Driver Sezar adlı bu mimarı canlandırırken, Emmanuel belediye başkanının kızını, Sezar’ın sevgilisini canlandırıyor. Filmde ayrıca Giancarlo Esposito, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Kathryn Hunter, Dustin Hoffman, Jason Schwartzman, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Chloe Fineman ve James Remar gibi isimler rol alıyor.
