“CHP leader and presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu casts his vote”
The leader of Turkey’s main opposition party, Republican People’s Party (CHP), and presidential candidate for the Nation Alliance, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, has cast his vote at the Ankara Arjantin Primary School in the Ankara central district of Çankaya.
After voting, Kılıçdaroğlu said, “I have missed democracy and togetherness. Hopefully, spring will come to this country from now on.”
Kılıçdaroğlu’s wife, Selvi Kılıçdaroğlu, also voted at the same polling station.
The elections are being held today in Turkey for both the presidential and parliamentary elections.
The Turkish people are casting their votes to select their leaders for the next five years.
