Başrollerini “Barbie” ikilisi Margot Robbie ve Ryan Gosling’in üstleneceği “Ocean’s 11” prequel filminin prodüksiyon süreci nihayet başlıyor. Production List‘te yer alan bilgilere göre, filmin çekimleri 30 Haziran’da başlayacak.
Henüz resmi adı belli olmayan film, Ocean’s serisinde yaşanan olaylardan öncesini, çok daha büyük hırsızların dönemini anlatacak. Bu filmdeki olayların serideki diğer filmlerle, yani George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon gibi isimlerin rol aldığı üçleme ve Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway gibi isimlerin rol aldığı “Ocean’s 8” filmiyle bağlantılı olup olmayacağı şimdilik bilinmiyor.
2000’lerin başındaki orijinal üçlemeden sonra gelen 2018 tarihli “Ocean’s 8” kadınlardan oluşan bir kadroyla, bir nevi seriyi yeniden başlatma girişimiydi. Oyuncu kadrosunun muazzam uyumu filmin dünya çağında 297 milyon dolar kazanmasını sağlamış olsa da Warner Bros. aynı kadronun yer aldığı bir devam filmiyle ilerlemek yerine zamanı geriye alıp yepyeni bir hikaye anlatmayı tercih etti.
Jay Roach (Meet the Parents, Bombshell) tarafından yönetilecek olan filmin, bu kez Las Vegas’ta değil, Avrupa’da ve 1960’lı yıllarda geçmesi bekleniyor. Oyuncu kadrosundaki yer alacak diğer isimler ise henüz açıklanmadı.
