Mehmetçik Irak’ta cephaneliği ele geçirdi: 467 AK-47
Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri, Irak’ın kuzeyindeki Pençe-Kilit Harekatı bölgesinde önemli bir başarıyla imza atarak 467 adet AK-47 Piyade Tüfeği ele geçirdi.
Milli Savunma Bakanlığı tarafından yapılan açıklamaya göre; Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri, Irak’ın kuzeyindeki Pençe-Kilit Operasyonu bölgesinde terör örgütü PKK’nın inlerine girmeye devam ediyor.
Etkisiz hâle getirilen iki teröristten teslim olanın verdiği bilgiler doğrultusunda Komandolar, Zap bölgesinde 467 adet kullanılmamış AK-47 Piyade Tüfeği ile birlikte çok sayıda mühimmat ve askerî teçhizat ele geçirdi. Bu sayı son dönemde tek seferde ele geçirilen en yüksek silah sayısı oldu.
Ele geçirilen silah ve mühimmat şu şekilde:
- 1 adet 7.62 mm PKMS makinalı tüfek,
- 56 adet RPG-7 antipersonel mühimmatı,
- 314 adet el bombası,
- 2 adet PKMS makinalı tüfek yedek namlusu,
- 146 adet AK-47 piyade tüfeği şarjörü,
- 139 adet tahta dipçik,
- Çeşitli yaşam malzemesi.
Niçin Pençe-Kilit?
17 Nisan 2022 tarihinde Zap, Metin ve Avaşin bölgelerine yönelik olarak başlatılan Pençe-Kilit Operasyonu, Türkiye’nin ‘Terörü kaynağında yok et’ stratejisi bakımından büyük öneme haiz. Pençe-Kilit Operasyonu ile birlikte Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri, Irak’ın kuzeyinde diğer Pençe serisi operasyonlarla birlikte oluşturmuş olduğu güvenli bölge setini kapatmış olacak. Bu nedenle operasyona ‘Kilit’ adı verildi.
Şu ana kadar Pençe serisi operasyonlarda ele geçirilen silah sayısıı 3 bini; mühimmat sayısı ise 1 milyon 377 bini geride bıraktı.
Pençe-Kilit’in ardından Asos ve Kandil gibi bölgeler, bölücü örgüt mensuplarına zindan olacak.
Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri, bölgedeki operasyonlarını BM Antlaşması’nın 51. Maddesindeki meşru müdafaa hakkı kapsamında sürdürüyor.
