Cemal Can ile yıllar önce mesajlaşması ve Cemal Can’ın yarışmaya girmek için Semih Öztürk’ten yardım istemesi detaylarının yer aldığı olayda Semih Öztürk çeşitli iddialarda da bulundu.

Semih Öztürk açıklamasında “LGBT’li olarak başladığın yarışmada Survivor’un sertliğiyle bir değişime uğradın. İlk günkü ses tonun ve gestularınla 5 ay sonraki tavrun ve tarzın çok farklıydı. Bunu herkes biliyor detaylı anlatmama gerek yok herhalde. Aslında bu yola girme sebebin o dönem LGBT furyası üzerinden birçok kişinin Dj’lik ve sosyal medya fenomenliğine rahatlıkla geçiş yapıp büyük paralar kazanması gözünü döndürdü. Sonrasında yarışmada başarılı olunca bu yola ihtiyacının olmadığını düşündün ve sana sürekli destek veren LGBT derneklerinin hepsine sırtını döndün” dedi.
Öztürk’ün sözlerine Cemal Can’dan henüz yanıt gelmedi.
Semih Öztürk, a contestant on the popular Turkish television show “Survivor” has recently made headlines for his comments targeting fellow contestant Cemal Can Canseven. Semih, an openly gay man, accused Cemal of hypocrisy and discrimination after he unfollowed Semih on social media.
The controversy began when Cemal, who had previously shared multiple pictures and messages in support of the LGBTQ+ community, unfollowed Semih on Instagram. Semih responded by posting a screenshot of Cemal’s Instagram account, showing that he was no longer following him. In the caption, Semih wrote “LGBT’li olarak başladığın yarışmada (In a competition that you started as an ally to the LGBTQ+ community…)” and went on to accuse Cemal of unfollowing him because of his sexual identity.
Semih’s comments sparked an outpouring of support on social media, with many people praising him for standing up for himself and calling out discrimination. However, others criticized him for bringing up his sexual identity in a way that seemed to suggest that he was being discriminated against solely because of it.
In response to the backlash, Semih defended his comments, saying that he was not trying to play the victim, but was speaking out against discrimination and hypocrisy. “It’s not just about me,” he said. “It’s about the millions of people who are discriminated against every day because of their sexual identity.”
