Süper Lig is one of the most exciting football leagues in the world, known for its competitive spirit and the quality of the teams who participate in it. Every week, the league witnesses some thrilling matches, and the fans get to experience the roller-coaster ride of emotions that come with them. However, lately, a new trend has emerged in the league- the midweek matches, which have added another dimension to the already exciting contest.

Hafta içi mesaisi, in Turkish, means the midweek fixtures, and since the last few seasons, the Süper Lig has been scheduling some thrilling matches during this timeframe. This not only adds more excitement to the already famous league but also benefits the teams in multiple ways. For instance, the clubs get an extra opportunity to improve their standing in the league by winning more points, as the midweek matches come thick and fast, offering less time for the teams to rest and recover.

Moreover, the midweek games are also a great opportunity for the clubs to rotate their squads and keep their players fresh. Since the Süper Lig has some of the best teams in Turkey, they often have to compete in multiple competitions, which puts a lot of pressure on the players. However, with the midweek fixtures, the clubs can rest their star players if needed and give a chance to their backups to show their worth.

Another advantage of the midweek matches is that they allow the fans to experience more football action. With the games scheduled during weekdays, the fans who cannot attend the weekend games due to work commitments or other reasons get a chance to watch some live football. This not only gives the fans a chance to watch their favorite teams in action but also increases the revenue generated from the matches.

The Süper Lig has witnessed some exciting midweek fixtures in recent times. For instance, during the 2020-21 season, the 28th and 29th weeks of the league witnessed some gripping matches like Beşiktaş’s 3-1 victory over Hatayspor and Fenerbahçe’s 2-1 win over Gaziantep FK. These fixtures not only generated a lot of interest among the fans but also helped the teams improve their league standings.

In conclusion, Süper Lig is one of the most exciting football leagues in the world, known for its quality and competitive spirit. With the addition of midweek matches, the league has become even more exciting, offering the fans more live-action, the clubs an opportunity to rest and rotate their squads, and the players an opportunity to prove their worth. As a result, the hafta içi mesaisi has become an integral part of the Turkish football league and is here to stay for the foreseeable future.
