Yunanistan F-35 Programında yeni gelişme
ABD Senatosu Dış İlişkiler Komitesi’nin Cumhuriyetçi Başkan Yardımcısı Jim Reese, bugün Yunanistan’a F-35 satışına onay verdi.
Jim Reese’in imzası ile birlikte, F-35’in Yunanistan’a satışını onaylamak için gereken dördüncü imza da atılmış oldu. Bu imzadan önce Senato Dış İlişkiler Komitesi Başkanı Robert Mendez, Temsilciler Meclisi Dış İlişkiler Komitesi Başkanı Michael McCall ve Başkan Yardımcısı Gregory Meeks de Yunanistan’ın F-35 talebini onaylamıştı.
ABD Senatosu’nun onayının ardından Yunanistan’ın F-35 talebinin, ABD Dışişleri Bakanlığı tarafından Kongre’ye gönderilmesi bekleniyor. Biden yönetimi tarafından Kongre’ye yapılacak resmi bildirimin ardından Yunanistan, F-35 tedariki için ABD Kongresi ile nihayetinde formalite olarak ABD Başkanı Biden’ın onayını bekleyecek.
Yunanistan’ın toplamda 3-3.5 milyar dolara 18-24 adet F-35 savaş uçağı tedarik etmesi bekleniyor ancak bu veriler zamanla değişiklik gösterebilir.
Öte yandan Yunanistan, Fransa’dan 4.5 nesil savaş uçağı Dassault Rafale tedarikine de devam ediyor. Son olarak tedarik edilecek uçak sayısı, 18’den 24’e çıkarılmıştı.
Kısa süre önce Yunanistan Başbakanı Miçotakis tarafından yapılan açıklamada, “Silahlanma programlarımız tamamlanacak. 2028 yılında ilk beşinci nesil F-35’leri teslim alacağız ve bunlar Andravida Hava Üssü’nde üslenecek, dünyanın en modern uçaklarına hizmet vermek için 150 milyondan fazla yatırım yapılacak.” ifadelerine yer verildi.
Türkiye’nin F-16 Blok 70 Tedariki
2020 yılında açıklanan CAATSA yaptırımlarıyla birlikte ABD, Türkiye’ye yönelik F-35A teslimatını askıya almıştı. Türk Hava Kuvvetleri için üretilen 6 adet F-35A ise ABD Hava Kuvvetleri’nin hangarlarında depolanmaya başlanmıştı.
F-35 ambargosunun ardından acil harekat ihtiyaçları nedeniyle F-16 Blok 70 talep eden Türkiye, yaklaşık 5 senedir ABD’den onay bekleniyor. Yunanistan’ın F-35A talebi ile Türkiye’nin F-16 Blok 70 talebi, aynı anda ABD Kongresi tarafından onaylanabilir.
